TIMBER STRUCTURES / WOOD DECKS

A floor for being outside.

A deck is a wood floor out in the weather: it gets sun, rain, pool water and bare feet. We build it on a structure that lifts it off the ground and lets it breathe, with spaced boards so water drains and corrosion-resistant screws.

We make them for homes and hotels in the city and on the coast, together with the pergolas, railings and steps that go with them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Wood decks

Which wood is best for a deck?

Outdoors we usually use tzalam or macuil. On the coast we also take care of the finish and the screws.

What maintenance does a deck need?

Its finish needs renewing periodically, more often on the coast and by the pool. We maintain the decks we install.
