The Carpintería Huayapam team in the workshop

THE WORKSHOP

Architectural millwork from Huayápam, Oaxaca.

We work with architects, interior designers, hotels, restaurants and homeowners who value material and craft.

WHO WE ARE

Neither a factory nor a small shop.

Since 2001, we have made solid-wood doors, windows, architectural elements and furniture in Huayápam for residential, hotel and commercial projects across Mexico.

We work from each project’s design, coordinating craft, finishes and logistics to deliver the millwork for an entire building.

HOW WE WORK

Four workshop principles.

Precision over haste

We develop each piece from the drawings, defining joinery, hardware and finishes around its use and care.

A craft that is taught

Master carpenters, journeymen and apprentices work alongside design, purchasing and logistics, passing the craft on inside the workshop.

Responsible origin

The workshop runs on solar power. We choose wood for its origin and performance, preferring regional species whenever a project allows.

Made in Oaxaca

We bring Oaxacan palm weaving, carving and engraving into our work, keeping the value of these collaborations in the region.

MISSION

We make solid-wood doors, windows, structures and furniture that turn architectural designs into pieces built to last and be repaired.

VISION

To be a trusted workshop for projects across Mexico where wood takes center stage, training new masters and choosing responsibly sourced timber.
