INTEGRATED LIGHTING
Wood with the lighting resolved in the design.
Headboards, shelves, bookcases and paneling with lighting built into the woodwork.
SCENE INSPIRED BY CASA S
BUILT-IN MILLWORK / INTEGRATED LIGHTING
Light as part of the piece.
A well-hidden strip of light changes how wood looks: it washes the wall behind a headboard, marks the shelves of a bookcase or lights a relief. So it doesn’t look added on, it is resolved in the drawing, with room for wiring, drivers and maintenance.
We made interiors and furniture with integrated lighting for Monte Cáucaso in Mexico City, with Taller Herrero Arquitectos, and a lit relief installation for Jacobo y María Ángeles in Oaxaca.
WHERE WE USE IT
From the headboard to the relief.
- 01
Headboards with indirect light
The strip is hidden above or behind and washes the wall without glare.
- 02
Shelves and bookcases
Light under each shelf or at the back of the niches.
- 03
Wall paneling
Reveals and trims that hide the light along the wall.
- 04
Closets and dressing rooms
Light that turns on as you open, in rails and drawers.
- 05
Display units and reliefs
To show pieces, as at Jacobo y María Ángeles.
HOW WE RESOLVE IT
Hidden, serviceable and planned from the drawings.
- Wood reveals, channels and trims that hide the light strip.
- Room for wiring, drivers and access panels for maintenance.
- Coordination with the project’s electrician or lighting designer.
- Light color tests on the chosen wood and finish.
- Installation by our own team, together with the furniture or paneling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Wood interiors with integrated lighting
Do you do the electrical work?
We build the space for the lights, wiring and drivers into the woodwork, and coordinate the connection with the project’s electrician or lighting designer.
What happens if a light strip fails?
We leave access panels so it can be replaced without taking the piece apart. That is why the lighting is designed from the drawings, not added at the end.
YOUR INTERIORS
What would you like to light?
Send us the drawing, photos of the space, which piece or wall you want to light and the date. We’ll give you a ballpark before a detailed quote.
